GARMIN BRASIL STRENGTHENS BRAZILIAN VIRTUAL COMPETITIONS.

New partnership between Garmin Brasil and CVB promotes eSports (virtual sports) in Brazil

The new partnership between Garmin, the world leader in technologies that help people stay active and boost performance and well-being, and CVB | Brazilian Virtual Competitions | it could mean access for more people to health monitoring and the search for performance, also through the practice of virtual sports.

Garmin has closely followed the development of eSports in Brazil and around the world and has offered solutions for the practice of virtual sports such as running and cycling in a virtual reality environment. An example is the global sponsorship of the ´Super League Triathlon providing important information about the virtual competition in the Arena Games Triathlon.

“Our strategy with Garmin can be seen as an ongoing response to the general public's growing interest in eSports and the challenges faced by the traditional sports industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the solutions offered by Garmin is the use of GPS devices to monitor the performance of athletes in virtual environments. It's an effort to provide year-round training conditions for our cyclists and runners on Garmin Connect. Integration with virtual sports platforms allows users to easily import their activity files directly into their Garmin Connect account. In this way, we started to offer new experiences to our customers and expand the brand’s presence in indoor environments such as clubs and gyms.” explains Andre Piva, Communication and Marketing Manager at PROPARTS, Garmin's representative company in Brazil.

In addition, Garmin has invested in virtual reality platforms to offer more immersive experiences for virtual athletes. These platforms allow athletes to participate in races and competitions in virtual environments that replicate real scenarios, such as roads, trails and natural landscapes.
